My name is Paul Phume. It is my great privilege and honour to be asked to introduce Dr Victor Tuwani Phume. Dr Phume is an accomplished theologian, who has a PhD in Leadership & Management from Logos University, Florida USA. He also has a degree in divinity from the University of Denver Colorado. He is a reverend, a businessman and author of nineteen publications. One of my favourite books he has written titles, ‘IS GOD A WHITEMAN’.
Among his achievements, is being nominated for the Africa Positive Impact Media Mogul of the Year award at the Africa Climate Awards 2023. Dr Phume has a proud association with Unisa having registered with the institution 31 years ago, he still remembers his student number.
The Unisa Zallywood Activation and workshop bring together two esteemed institutions, namely, UNISA and Zallywood. Yes, UNISA ladies and gentlemen, let us listen and learn – Unisa is the largest open distance learning institution in Africa, the longest standing dedicated distance education university in the world.
And Zallywood, is not just a name, but a testament to unwavering dedication to the world of film. It houses The Alkebulan Authors’ Platform, a digital house focused on the distinctive voice of Africa told through the unique narratives of the authors and storytellers promoted to the world. It is part of a group of companies founded and led by Dr Phume.
Who would have thought when one simply registers with an institution, that 31 years later he would partner with Unisa. I have been fortunate enough to find his exact student number, which is 30988748 ladies and gentlemen.
