In a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump announced that the United States will stop “all payments and subsidies” to South Africa “effective immediately.”
“Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the Great City of Miami, Florida next year,” he added.
Developments remain in progress, and a statement from the Government of the Republic of South Africa is anticipated.
