The Department of Employment and Labour’s Compensation Fund will host a series of stakeholder engagement workshops for Exempted Employers, Medical Service Providers (MSPs), Local Government representatives, and Suppliers from 14-16 July 2026 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga Province.

The workshops form part of the Compensation Fund’s ongoing commitment to bringing government services closer to communities, strengthening stakeholder relations, and promoting compliance with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA).

The engagements will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to interact directly with Compensation Fund officials, gain clarity on legislative requirements, and receive updates on key Compensation Fund programmes, systems, policies, and service delivery initiatives.

The workshop for Exempted Employers will focus on COIDA compliance, claims management, reporting obligations, and recent regulatory developments affecting government departments and selected municipalities.

The Medical Service Providers Open Day and Advocacy Session will provide a platform for engagement on Compensation Fund processes, billing procedures, claims administration, and challenges experienced by healthcare providers. The session will also explore practical solutions aimed at improving service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

The Local Government and Suppliers Workshop will focus on COIDA compliance and understanding within Ehlanzeni District Municipalities and its suppliers.

Through these workshops, the Compensation Fund aims to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders, improve awareness and access on the Fund services.

A dedicated Help Desk will be available throughout the engagements to assist with any COIDA related matters.
