We must attempt to situate the next two weeks, in which elections will occur in Brazil on October 24, Israel on October 27, and the United States on November 3, in the higher-order domain within which they are actually occurring.
Pope Leo XIV’s gathering in Assisi October 25-27, in pursuit of a dialogue for peace, is one expression of that higher domain. But for geopolitical pragmatists, something more concrete is required. We propose the following hypothesis, as to what is driving the actual processes undergirding the “fast-moving events” that are the mere shadows of an underlying reality that usually remains unspoken.
“The practical problem the….President of the United States of America, and also the rest of the world, must face, is that there is no solution for the presently onrushing general breakdown crisis of the world‘s present, floating-exchange-rate monetary-financial system, except by eliminating all vestiges of independent central banking systems, through bankruptcy re-organization of the existing world monetary-financial system…”
That statement was made in 2004 by the late economist and statesman Lyndon H. LaRouche, during his eighth and final run for the American Presidency. It identifies the unspoken complex domain, the actual ocean in which the “geopolitical fish” used to their own axiomatic ponds, are actually swimming.
That statement, made 22 years ago—in fact, in one sense, because it was made 22 years ago—can tell us more, today, about the driving force of planetary war, including thermonuclear war; more about what is unraveling, ever more rapidly, in Southwest Asia; more about why NATO has been fighting a war with Russia which it cannot win, and from which, the United States, against the protests of Europe, wishes to extricate itself, than most geopoliticians would prefer to admit.
The trans-Atlantic world is hopelessly bankrupt, with a system that is not tens of millions, but well over 2 quadrillion dollars in debt. No crypto-gypto manuever, no two-bitcoin pirouette, no “derivatives of derivatives” magic, can save it. The imperial political superstructure once called by many names—“New World Order” Rules-Based Order,” Unipolar World”—has ended.
This is not news to the Global South. This is not news to Russia, or China. Actions taken over recent years by the BRICS nations, separately and as a group, including important global initiviatives proposed regarding economic development, government, civilization/culture and security by the Chinese government, can open a doorway for a new diplomacy, and even a new security and development architecture. The trans-Atlantic world can walk through that doorway, if it so chooses. But it is not possible to walk through that doorway to survival, yet still refuse to see all the people of the world as human beings.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Ye responded to Israel’s President Isaac Herzog, who spoke to him on Thursday about the solidarity between the Jewish and Chinese people shown during the World Anti-Fascist War of 1937-1945, by pointing out that “China has consistently maintained that the Palestinian question is the greatest historical injustice of this century and that the two-state solution is the right way to resolve the question…”
The economic policies of China toward the nations of the Global South, as well as the people of China itself, are congruent with that view of “the Palestinian question,” as well as of humanity.
In contrast, President Donald Trump has issued an electoral endorsement of Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu as the “only possible choice” to lead Israel. The question is, to what? A recent Document, “The ‘New’ National Security Concept: Conceptualization and Questions for Discussion” written by retired Maj. Gen. Tamir Hyman, former chief of the IDF Intelligence Directorate from 2018-2021, tells us.
Hyman asks the question, “Does the security concept that took shape informally after October 7 reflect a fundamental change in the identity of the state?” He lists, under a section titled “Principles of the Emerging ‘New’ Concept,”as Principle #1, the “Primacy of Jewish Identity over Democracy: The state’s Jewish identity takes precedence over its democratic system of government. This priority is intended to guarantee Israel’s continued existence as a Jewish state, even at the cost of eroding its democratic values.”
Israel has undergone what Friedrich Nietzsche referred to as a “transvaluation of values.”
To say that “Israel has always been this way,” is to miss the underlying drive that the LaRouche hypothesis indicates, and by which the Epstein class, to which President Trump continues to answer, is trapped. The 1930s economic policies of German’s Hjalmar Schacht, co-founder of the Bank for International Settlements, and of Montague Norman’s Bank of England, were the driving force of Nazism, and fascism in general. As it was then, now, those same policies are underway again, and must be defeated, or this time, with thermonuclear weapons, the world will not survive.
The “re-arm for war with Russia by 2030” policy of the Western European nations, comes from the same outlook as the Israeli “new national security concept” just discussed. It is Nietzschean. It is bestial. And it also won’t save the Epstein class from inevitable bankruptcy.
This outlook regarding humanity is the opposite of what Pope Leo XIV is seeking to provoke, both in his encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, and, later this month, October 27-29 at Assisi, in an assembly of the world’s religions, as well as others, on the 40th anniversary of a similar effort for peace made by Pope St. John Paul II.
The 400-person youth New World Symphony orchestra that took to the streets of Paris this past weekend represents the creative, nonviolent “statecraft of hope.” The independent Presidential candidacy of Diane Sare and the Congressional candidacy of Diane Sare, both of which endorse Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s Ten Principles for a New Security and Development Architecture, are the electoral form of that statecraft of hope. Will you join that statecraft of hope?
